How the figures are built

  • Every credit to the supplier (invoices, add-on costs, credit notes, opening bills) up to the As at date is a bill.
  • Every payment, return and debit note, whichever bill it was for, is applied to the supplier's oldest bills first, until the money runs out. What is left of each bill is its outstanding amount.
  • Over limit compares the total outstanding with the supplier's Amount limit; Over days compares the debt's age with the supplier's credit days. Neither stops a purchase or a payment: they are information.
