Inventory management software for Nepal

One inventory engine serves retail, restaurant, hotel minibar and manufacturing. Movements are vouchered, costed and reconcilable back to accounting.

The problem

Stock truth across every godown, counter and kitchen.

Businesses usually discover their stock problem at year end, when the physical count does not match the system and nobody can explain the gap. Penahak makes every movement a document, so the gap always has a cause you can open and read.

Who uses it

  • Storekeepers, who receive, issue, transfer and count
  • Purchase officers, who need to know what to reorder and at what landed cost
  • Accountants, who need stock valuation to tie to the ledger
How it works

The workflows you will actually use

Not a feature list — the sequences your team runs day to day.

Receiving a delivery

  1. Open the purchase order and receive against it, so short deliveries are visible.
  2. Enter items, quantities, batch and expiry where tracked.
  3. Add freight, duty and handling as landed cost so item cost is the real cost.
  4. Post. Stock arrives in the receiving godown and the payable is raised.

Running a stock count

  1. Pick a day when little moves and count one godown at a time.
  2. Print the Stock summary for that godown and date, and count on paper.
  3. Enter each difference as a stock adjustment (Stock-take in or out) dated the count day.
  4. Run the Stock summary again: balances now equal the count, and closing stock, and so profit, follows.

Transferring between locations

  1. Raise a transfer from the issuing godown to the receiving godown.
  2. Stock leaves the issuing location on issue.
  3. The receiving location accepts, and stock arrives.
  4. Check the transfer summary regularly — unaccepted transfers are the most common cause of apparent discrepancies.

Connected, not integrated

What it shares with the rest of the platform

These are not integrations between separate products. They are modules on one ledger, one party master and one product catalogue.

Retail POS

Every counter sale moves stock at once; its FIFO cost is worked out by the stock reports.

Restaurant POS

With recipe stock switched on, a posted bill takes each dish’s ingredients out of the branch’s default store.

Hospitality

Minibar items charged to a folio leave the minibar store (else the main store) on the guest’s invoice.

Production

Approving a production journal takes the raw materials out and brings the finished goods in at their cost.

Questions

About Inventory & Stock

Yes. Items configured for batch or serial tracking carry that identity from purchase through to sale, and the expiry and breakage reports work off it.

Purchase cost plus any landed cost you allocate to the document — freight, duty, clearing, insurance and handling. That is the value held in stock; profit uses it through closing stock.
