Production

Light manufacturing that consumes real stock and produces costed output, with a production journal you can audit line by line.

The problem

Bill of materials in, costed finished goods out.

If you make what you sell, your margin depends on knowing what a finished unit actually cost — materials, wastage and overhead included. Penahak Production consumes real stock and produces real, costed finished goods, so inventory value and gross margin are derived rather than estimated.

Who uses it

  • Production supervisors, who run work orders and record output
  • Quality staff, who pass or reject before goods go saleable
  • Cost accountants, who need finished-goods costing to be defensible
How it works

The workflows you will actually use

Not a feature list — the sequences your team runs day to day.

A production run

  1. Open the bill of materials for the finished item.
  2. Raise the work order for the quantity to be produced.
  3. Raw material is issued from stock as it is consumed.
  4. Record output, wastage and any by-product.
  5. Quality pass releases the goods; costing rolls up into the finished item value.

Central kitchen or pre-production

  1. Produce a batch once against its bill of materials.
  2. Receive the output into the production store as costed stock.
  3. Transfer to each outlet as needed.
  4. Outlet sales consume it like any other stocked item.

Connected, not integrated

What it shares with the rest of the platform

These are not integrations between separate products. They are modules on one ledger, one party master and one product catalogue.

Inventory

Consumption and output are ordinary stock movements in real godowns.

Accounting

Production cost and finished-goods value flow into the ledger.

Restaurant POS

Central kitchen batches can be produced once and issued to outlets.

Reports

Raw material consumption and finished goods costing drill to the work order.

Every module posts into one ledgerEight Penahak modules arranged around a central accounting ledger. Each module sends source documents inward to the ledger, and the ledger feeds a single reporting layer. Questions

About Production

No. It is light manufacturing: bills of materials, work orders, consumption, quality pass and costing. It suits food production, assembly and packaging rather than complex multi-stage scheduling.
