What it is
Sometimes a cost or a charge belongs to a sale only after the invoice has been issued: freight you paid, a commission, an extra fee. The sales add-on voucher (menu Add-on Vouchers; the page is Sales additional) records it against the invoice without changing the invoice itself.
The voucher uses an Additional sales adjustment. The ledger set on that adjustment is credited, and the ledger you choose on the voucher is debited. These two must be different ledgers.
Make one
- Open the invoice and choose Sales add-on voucher
- Choose what to add

Common questions
The screen says "Please set sales additional adjustment policy."
No sales adjustment of the Additional category exists yet. Make one on Sales adjustment (Set up VAT, discounts and other sales adjustments).
Can I add a voucher to a cancelled invoice?
No. The add-on voucher is switched off on a cancelled invoice's page (Cancel an invoice).
The customer must get a bill for the charge.
An add-on voucher does not change the invoice and is not sent to the IRD. To bill the customer for the charge, raise a new invoice for it (Editing a saved invoice: what can and cannot change).
