A goods delivery note moves goods out of the warehouse before the invoice. It takes stock out, books no money, and can be turned into an invoice, singly or with other notes of the same customer.
A goods delivery note (GDN; some companies call it a challan) records that goods have left your warehouse for a customer. Stock goes down at once. The customer is not charged until you make the invoice, and the invoice made from the note does not take the stock out a second time.
Open Goods delivery note (menu Sales Entries › Delivery Notes). The list shows the delivery number, date, customer, agent, amount and a Status: Not used or Used on bill. The IRD does not receive delivery notes.
