Print an invoice
On the Sales Invoice list, each row has a print button. Press it and the screen asks:
- Do you want to print? the first time the invoice is printed;
- Do you want to reprint? every time after that.
You can also tick several invoices and print them in one go, from the print button in the Actions heading, or choose Save and print when you save a new invoice. The invoice goes to your browser's print window as a PDF (on a small screen it opens in a new tab). The same print button is on the invoice's view page.
What the first print does
| First print (print count 0) | Later prints | |
|---|---|---|
| Copies | IRD on: the number your company chose in Tax invoice print copies (one, two or three; three if not set), all in one file. IRD off: one | One |
| Heading | The invoice heading your company's layout uses | The invoice heading, with a reprint mark and the print number |
| Record | The print is logged with who printed it and when | The print count goes up by one, with who reprinted and when |
The reprint mark and the headings come from your company's print layout and language settings, so the exact words can differ between companies. No reason is asked for a reprint; the log still records who reprinted and when, so a reprint can always be traced.
If the print does not come out
| You see | Usually |
|---|---|
| Nothing opens | The browser may have blocked the print window. Allow pop-ups and printing for the site, then print again |
| The layout looks wrong | Your company uses a custom layout. Ask Penahak support which layout is set for invoices |
Common questions
Our company has IRD off and we need two paper copies.
The first print always makes one copy when IRD is off: Tax invoice print copies applies only with IRD on. A second print is a reprint, counted and marked as one.
Where can I see who printed an invoice?
Open the invoice: its page shows its activity, with who created, changed, printed or cancelled it and when (Editing a saved invoice: what can and cannot change).
Can I print a cancelled invoice?
Yes. The standard layout marks it as void; a layout made for your company may word it differently.
