What it shows

ColumnMeaning
Product/Service nameThe product
Product categoryIts category
WarehouseWhere it is held
QTY, UnitThe quantity on hand on the date, and its unit
Minimum stock, Maximum stockThe levels on the product (Minimum, maximum and reorder levels)

Report group by can group by product, warehouse, category, project and more, as in Stock summary. The filters are Product, Project/Business Unit, Book edition, Product category and Warehouse.

Compare the QTY with the Minimum stock and Maximum stock by eye: the report does not colour or flag a product.

What it leaves out

Common questions

Where is the reorder level?

The report shows Minimum stock and Maximum stock. The Reorder level drives the nightly alert and is on the product list (Minimum, maximum and reorder levels).

The quantity differs from Stock summary.

Check the date and the branch. Stock status reads the entries up to its date; locked products are missing from it.

Why does a product appear on more than one line?

It has stock in more than one warehouse, and the report gives one line per warehouse. Compare the total of its lines with its Minimum stock and Maximum stock (Minimum, maximum and reorder levels).

Does QTY include free goods?

Yes. Free quantity received or given away counts as stock like any other quantity (How stock works).

A product shows a minus quantity.

More of it went out of that warehouse than came in by the date: a purchase not entered, or entered in another warehouse (Negative stock: where Penahak checks it).
