Terminal sales

  1. Open the tab
    Who
    Supervisor or accountant
    Where
    Terminal cash > Terminal sales
    What changes
The table is filtered to your branch and today. Rows are grouped by Terminal, User and Sales date; the columns are the payment methods: Cash, each bank or wallet by its short name, Gift card, Loyalty Discount; the figure is the Actual amount.
  2. Change the filter
    Where
The filter bar: Terminal, User, Date
    What changes
Pick another day, terminal or cashier.
  3. Open the details
    Where
The eye button of a row
    What changes
The window Terminal sales transaction information shows what that cashier sold on that terminal that day: the Product group, Product, Qty and Amount; Adjustment and tax information (the discount and VAT amounts); and Amount information (the payments by method). Excel and PDF buttons export it.

Branch sales

Terminal cash > Branch sales is the same for the whole branch: each day's sales by payment method, with the same details window (Branch terminal sales details).

What the figures mean

  • Cash is the cash taken less the change given back. It is the cash of the sales: compare it with the cash hand over (Hand over the cash at the end).
  • A bank or wallet column is the bank ledger the cashier chose, shown by its short name. A shop that wants cards and wallets apart gives each its own bank ledger (Which account each part of a bill goes to).
  • Loyalty Discount is the value of points spent that day.
  • The window of details lists sales only: cash refunds on returns are not in it. The cash hand over does take them off.

Common questions

The cash here does not match the hand over.

The hand over also subtracts cash refunds on returns and counts every bill on the terminal from when the cashier accepted. This tab counts sales of the chosen day, per cashier.

A card payment shows under a bank's name, not "Card".

Yes: the report shows the bank ledger chosen at the till. Ask your accountant to name the ledgers as you want them read.

Where is the day's total of all tills?

Branch sales.

A wallet shows in its own column. Is that cash?

No. A bank or wallet column is the bank ledger the cashier chose, shown by its short name. Only Cash is what goes in the drawer.

Which day does a bill belong to?

The day of the bill, not of the payment. A bill saved at 23:50 whose receipt is made at 00:10 is on the bill's day.
