The discount is not a payment. It lowers the bill itself, so the receipt and the VAT follow the lower total (VAT, rounding and the kind of invoice).

Common questions

The Loyalty discount card button is grey.

No customer is chosen, or the customer has fewer points than the policy's required points, or no spending policy runs today.

The customer has points on the report but the till shows less.

The report and the till can differ after a manual loyalty adjustment or a customer mapping (Loyalty customers, manual adjustments and the points report).

Can points pay for part of the bill only?

Yes. The discount is the amount you type, up to what the points are worth.

The VAT on a bill with points looks lower. Is that right?

Yes. The points lower the bill itself, so the receipt and the VAT follow the lower total.
