Make a customer a loyalty customer
A customer registered at the till is made a loyalty customer at once: they get a card number and the company's Initial bonus loyalty point as their starting balance. For other customers:
- Open the mapping
- Add or edit
The customer can then be found at the till by their card number, mobile number, PAN or name (Walk-in, named and new customers). Making them Inactive switches loyalty off for them.
Adjust points by hand
Loyalty > the tab Loyalty Adjustment records points adjusted outside a sale, for example points used in another way or a correction. An adjustment counts as adjusted (spent) points: it lowers the customer's balance in the report.
- Press Add
- Fill and save
The points report
Customer loyalty point report (a tab of the loyalty screen, and in the reports menu) shows each customer's Loyalty collection (points earned), Adjusted point (points spent or adjusted) and Balance. Choose the Report type: a summary per customer, or a detail by voucher number; there are also versions by project or business unit. It can be exported.
Common questions
A customer's card number is wrong.
Edit it in Customer Mapping. The old number stops working at the till.
I adjusted a customer's points by hand but the till still shows the old balance.
The adjustment changes the report only. Do not rely on the adjustment at the till.
Where do I see all points earned this month?
In Customer loyalty point report, with the date range in the filters.
Where does a new customer's starting balance come from?
From Initial bonus loyalty point in Configuration: a customer registered at the till gets it as their starting balance, together with a card number.
What does Inactive do on Customer Mapping?
It switches loyalty off for that customer. Set their Status back to Active to use loyalty again.
