Do you need a customer?
No. Leave the customer empty and the bill is a walk-in sale: it goes to the company's Anonymous customer account, the receipt says Anonymous Customer, and it must be paid in full at the till.
Choose a customer when the buyer:
- wants the sale in their name or PAN on the invoice;
- earns or spends loyalty points (Loyalty policy: how customers earn points, Spend points on a bill: the loyalty adjustment policy);
- is allowed to pay later (Sell on credit to a named customer).

Common questions
I registered the customer but I cannot find them.
Search by the mobile number, with at least three digits. Check that the customer is active in Customer.
Can I change the customer after adding products?
Yes, choose another customer. The lines stay. Points and credit follow the customer chosen when you save.
The loyalty button is grey.
The customer must have enough points for the shop's smallest discount (Spend points on a bill: the loyalty adjustment policy).
Can I take the customer off the bill once I have chosen them?
There is no button to clear a chosen customer. Choose another customer, or ask a supervisor to clear the whole bill with Void/Reset (The POS Sales screen).
Why is the buyer's PAN missing from a walk-in invoice?
A walk-in bill has no buyer, so it has no PAN. Choose or register the customer first, with their 9-digit PAN, and the PAN goes with the invoice (IRD-ready invoicing at the till).
Does a walk-in earn loyalty points?
No. Points are earned only on a bill with a named customer, and spent only by a customer who has enough points (Loyalty policy: how customers earn points, Spend points on a bill: the loyalty adjustment policy).
