For Administrator Owner

Two kinds of person

PersonNeeds
CashierThe scopes to sell (the till's own scopes), to return and replace goods, to register a customer, and to print and reprint. Does the cash hand over of their own cash
Supervisor or shop managerEverything a cashier has, plus Petty cash, Terminal cash, the setup screens (Terminal, Receipt design, loyalty, schemes, gift cards) and the supervisor setting on their role

Set them in Role & Scopes: a role has scopes (rights) grouped by screen, and a user has a role. Menu items a user has no scope for are hidden.

Switches that are not scopes

Common questions

A cashier gets "Forbidden" or a general error when scanning.

The role lacks the till's scopes. Add them in Role & Scopes and have the user sign in again.

The supervisor does not see Void/Reset.

The role's Is this a supervisor role ? is off, or the user has not signed in again since it was changed.

The cashier cannot see Terminal cash.

Give the role the Terminal cash scopes. A cashier needs them to hand over their own cash (Hand over the cash at the end).

Does Is this a supervisor role ? stop a cashier from changing a price?

No. It only shows Void/Reset and puts the person on the Handover to list. The Rate link and, when the company switches it on, the Discount link can be used by any cashier; the supervisor checks the day's bills.
