For Cashier

Before you start

  1. Open the till and accept the cash

Open POS Sales. If a message lists missing items or says the terminal is not set, tell your supervisor. Count the drawer and press Accept (Open the till and accept the cash).

  2. Scan and sell

Scan the products, choose a customer if there is a reason, check the totals and take the payment (Find and add products, Take the payment: cash, bank and wallet). Press Sales/Print, Save and print, and give the receipt (Save the bill: Sales/Print).

  3. Hold a bill

Use Draft with the customer's mobile number to serve the next person, then recall it (Put a bill on hold and recall it).

  4. A regular customer

Choose the customer and confirm Credit only when your supervisor allows it (Sell on credit to a named customer).

  5. Return or exchange

Load the bill on Sales Return by its number, tick the goods, choose Cash or Non-Cash and press Return. For an exchange, use Sales Replacement after a Non-Cash return (Sales return: take goods back, Sales replacement: exchange goods).

  6. Reprint

The three dots, Reprint bill, the bill number (Print the receipt and reprint a bill).

  7. Hand over the cash

On Terminal cash, open your responsibility, count the notes and coins, name who takes the cash, and Accept and close (Hand over the cash at the end).

End of the day

  • No bill is still on hold that the customer will come back for: a held bill lasts 30 minutes (Put a bill on hold and recall it).
  • You know your cash refunds of the day. Each lowers the cash you hand over, and your accountant checks that each has its payment voucher (Sales return: take goods back).
  • Hand over at the end of your shift, before midnight. Count the notes and coins, name who takes the cash, write your Notes and press Accept and close (Hand over the cash at the end).
  • If two people used your till, count together: the hand over counts every cash bill of the till, whoever sold.
  • Card and wallet payments are not in the drawer. Do not count them with the cash.
  • A shortage or an excess is recorded on the hand over, in whole rupees. Nothing is booked in Accounting: the accountant books it by hand if the shop wants it (Hand over the cash at the end).

Common questions

I forgot to hand over yesterday.

Tomorrow's till will not open until you do. It shows a Cash handover button for it (Open the till and accept the cash).

A customer paid by card and the machine failed.

Do not save Bank/Wallet Payment. Take cash, or hold the bill and wait for the machine (Take the payment: cash, bank and wallet).
