A recipe says what one portion of a dish uses: Chicken Momo: 0.25 kg chicken, 0.1 kg flour, 0.02 l oil. When a bill for three portions is posted, Penahak takes out three times each quantity.
Recipes matter only when the company has Automatic stock adjustment on restaurant switched on in Accounting's configuration. Without it, a cooked dish takes nothing out of stock.

Common questions
The dish is not offered as an item name.
Only service items can have a recipe. An inventory item sold as it is needs no recipe.
An ingredient is not offered.
Only inventory items can be ingredients.
Do voided or comped dishes use the recipe?
A voided dish is not on the bill and takes nothing. A comped dish stays on the bill at no charge, so its ingredients still leave stock.
We added a dish's recipe today. Do its earlier bills take the ingredients now?
No. A recipe counts for the bills posted after it is saved; bills already posted keep the stock they took. Changing a recipe later works the same way.
Can one dish have two recipes?
No. There is one recipe for each dish and branch. A second one is refused: edit the existing recipe.
