How printing works
- When an order is sent, one ticket per station goes to the printer of that station. A bar station prints a bar ticket.
- When a bill is paid, the bill prints at the till.
- A void sends a cancel ticket to the item's station, so the kitchen stops making it.
- Tickets and bills wait in a queue until a printer picks them up. If a printer is off, the ticket waits and prints when it is back. If a ticket is lost, use Reprint (Send an order to the kitchen and reprint a KOT).
What a manager sets
Under Restaurant POS › Configuration › Settings, section Printing:
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Station Routing | Says how each station prints, when it should not use the restaurant's default. Add a route only for a station that needs one |
| This Desktop | Registers the computer next to the printers so it prints the queued tickets of the branch |
| Print KOT on Send to Kitchen (above, under Kitchen Display System) | Older printing straight from the browser, used only when no ticket was queued. The screen advises keeping it off when tickets already print through the routes above, to avoid duplicate slips |
Two switches in Accounting's configuration (shown for restaurants) change what is printed:
- Only Restaurant Receipt Print: on means the restaurant prints bills only: no kitchen tickets and no cancel tickets.
- KOT Print: says that printed kitchen tickets are required. Leave it on unless Penahak support advises otherwise.

Two printers are set for the same station (the Settings screen warns Some stations have more than one override), or the ticket was reprinted. The screen also advises keeping Print KOT on Send to Kitchen off when tickets print through the routes.

See Problems by symptom: the cashier's screen, the station route and the printer are the three places to check.
