Quick Order: counter, takeaway and delivery

Quick Order takes an order with no table: a guest at the counter, a parcel, or a delivery. It works like a table's check, then you bill it.

In a restaurant that belongs to a hotel, a room service order is a Quick Order finished with Charge to room / event: see Charge a check to a hotel room or event.

Common questions

Where is the table for a counter order?

There is none. Billing it does not need a table to clean.

Can I merge a counter order with a table?

No. Merge works between tables (Move a party to another table, or merge tables).

I started a Quick Order by mistake.

Leave the screen without sending anything. Nothing is billed and nothing prints.

Does a takeaway pay the service charge?

Every active bill term of Accounting applies to every restaurant bill, takeaways included. If the restaurant does not charge service on takeaways, ask your accountant to switch that term off in Bill Terms, which also switches it off for the tables (VAT, service charge, discounts and bill numbers).
