For Cashier

Before you start

  1. Open the shift

Count the float and open the shift on Cash Shift. Nobody can send orders without it (Open and close the cash shift).

  2. Bill the tables

Open Bill, check the lines, choose how the guest pays and Confirm Payment (Bill the table and take payment). Use Split Pay or the Split tab when guests pay separately (Split the bill between guests). Give discounts and comps as the manager allows (Discounts and complimentary dishes).

  3. Due sales

Choose the customer and leave the bill due (Bill a customer on account (Due sale)). In a hotel, charge a guest's check to the room (Charge a check to a hotel room or event).

  4. Sales return

Load the bill on Sales Return the same day, tick the items and post (Sales Return: give back items of a paid bill).

  5. Look for unbilled tables

Open Floor View > Due Bill Summary for today: any card is a table that was served and not billed (Floor View and the Due Bill Summary).

  6. Count and close

Count the drawer on Close Shift, read the variance and print the summary (Open and close the cash shift). Print the Z-Report for the day (Restaurant Reports: the day's sales).
