Reservations

Book a table for a guest at a date and time, and seat the guest when they arrive. A reservation does not block the table by itself.

Book a table

  1. Open the calendar
    Who
    Waiter, captain or manager
    Where
    Restaurant POS › Reservations
    What changes
Pick the date on the calendar. The list shows the day's reservations, or "No reservations for this date". Past dates cannot be picked.
  2. Add the reservation
    Where
    New Reservation
    What changes
Fill Guest Name, Guests, Phone, Email, Date, Time (a past time today is not offered), Table (optional) (only available tables; Suggested tables match the guest count), Status and Notes. A known customer can be linked with Customer (optional).
  3. Save
    What changes
"Reservation created". To change it later, press Edit: "Reservation updated".

Statuses: Pending, Confirmed, Seated, Cancelled, No Show. Set No Show yourself when the guest does not come.

Seat the guest

When the guests arrive, press Seat on the reservation. If it has a table, the table opens as a check and the order screen appears ("Guest seated!"). If it has no table, you are taken to the Floor Plan to choose one ("Select a table to seat this guest"). A seated reservation shows Table to go back to the order.

To cancel, press the cancel button: Cancel this reservation? A seated reservation cannot be cancelled.

Common questions

A guest booked but the table is taken.

Edit the reservation first and choose a free table (or clear the table), then press Seat. Pressing Seat on a reservation whose table is taken would put the guest on that table's check.

Can I look at past reservations?

No: the calendar offers today and later dates only.
