Courses: starter, main, dessert

A course (Starter, Main Course, Dessert) is a label you put on each dish of an order, so the waiter can group and filter the order by course.

For Manager or owner Administrator

What courses do

A course is a step of the meal: Starter, Main Course, Dessert. On the order screen the waiter picks a course for a dish, and the order list shows it as a tag on the line. The tags above the list (All and one per course) filter the list so the waiter sees one course at a time.

Set up courses

Use a course on an order

On the New Order tab, press the tag icon on a dish line (Seat / course / note) and choose a Course (Select course). The same panel sets the seat and the dish's note.

Common questions

Can the kitchen start the main course only when I ask?

No. Every dish goes to the kitchen when you send the order, so send the main course when the table is ready for it.

The course tags do not appear on the order.

No course is set up: add courses on Configuration › Courses.
