Approve or reject leave

A manager sees the leave requests of their team, approves or rejects with a remark, and the employee is told. Approval takes the days from the balance and fills the calendar.

For Manager HR officer

The idea

Open Leave approval (Attendance › Leave approval), titled Leave request details, or the leave requests box on the Manager dashboard. You see the requests of your team: the people who report to you and those in departments you manage (Who approves what).

The list shows who asked (Requested by), the Leave type, the Date, the Days, Requested to, the Status, the Remarks and whether the first or last day is half. Filter by fiscal year, attendance period, department, designation, employee, branch or leave type, or download the list to Excel.

Decide

  1. Open the request
    Who
    Manager
    Where
    Leave approval, the request's row
    What changes
The details show the dates, the days and the employee's notes.
  2. Approve
    Where
    Approve, then Approved remarks (required)
    What changes
Penahak checks that no attendance is already recorded for those days. The request is Approved, the days taken from the balance when the request was made are deducted, and each day is marked as leave on the calendar. The employee is told by email.
  3. Or reject
    Where
    Reject, then Reject remarks (required)
    What changes
The request is Rejected and nothing is taken from the balance. The employee is told.

The screen asks "Do you want to approve the request?" or "Do you want to reject the request?" first. It answers "Approve request is not valid" or "Reject request is not valid" when no request is selected.
