The idea
Staff can ask for things themselves from their profile, but HR often has to enter or fix a request for them: someone without a login, a request made by phone, a correction. Employee request (Attendance › Employee request) is the screen for that.
It has five tabs:
| Tab | What it is for | See |
|---|---|---|
| Leave request | Leave for an employee, with the same checks as a request they make themselves | Ask for leave |
| Holiday request | A floating holiday for an employee | Holidays and floating holidays |
| Overtime request | Overtime worked, sent to a supervisor | Overtime: request, approval and payment |
| Office visit request | A visit outside the office on duty | Office visit requests |
| Manual timesheet | A day's check-in and check-out entered by hand | Manual timesheet |
How each tab works
Every tab shows a list with filters (for example by employee, department, designation, branch, status and date) and the same actions:
- Add a request. Choose the Requested by employee, who the request goes To (Requested to), the dates and Notes.
- Edit a request that has not been decided yet. A decided request cannot be edited.
- Cancel with a Cancelation remark while the request is still open (a leave can be cancelled until it starts).
- Select several rows to Delete all, Active all or Deactivate all.
A request entered here goes to the same approver as one the employee made, and is checked by the same rules. See Who approves what for who decides.
