For Employee HR officer Manager

The idea

A grievance is a complaint recorded against a person or a situation, kept so it can be reviewed and closed with a written result. Employees raise their own from their profile; HR sees them on the Grievance screen and on each employee's Employee information page.

Open Grievance (Dashboard › Grievances) or the Grievance tab of the profile.

The steps

  1. Record the grievance
    Who
    Employee or HR
    Where
    Grievance › Add grievance
    What changes
Choose the Grievance type, the Against employee, Reported to, the Grievance date, and write the Root cause and the Description. The Reported by person is the one signed in.
  2. Review it
    Who
The person it was reported to, and later levels
    Where
The Review area of the grievance
    What changes
Each review has Review from, Review date and a note. A grievance has a Grievance level, so it can be reviewed in more than one round.
  3. Close it
    Who
    HR
    Where
    The Conclusion box
    What changes
Write the Conclusion. The message "Grievance conclusion updated successfully." confirms it.

You can Edit grievance, Deactivate grievance or Activate grievance. Once a review has started, the grievance cannot be deactivated: the screen says "Grievance review process started so deactivate not allowed."

Grievance types are kept in a list you reach from the Grievance type box of the grievance form (Grievance add/edit): add a type once, then pick it on each grievance. A type name already used is refused.
