Work orders
Maintenance › Work orders: Room (or Or where for a public area: lobby, pool, restaurant), Area or asset, Issue (A/C not cooling, leaking tap, door lock fault and others), Priority, Trade, Engineer, Fix by, Reported by, then What was done and a Cost note when it is fixed. The list shows Open orders, Overdue, Critical or high and On hold.
A work order does not take the room off sale by itself: block it if guests should not have it.
Room blocks: out of order and out of service
Maintenance › Room blocks > Block a room: the Room, the Block type, From night and To night (last blocked), and the Reason.
| Block | The room is |
|---|---|
| Out of order | Off sale: availability goes down |
| Out of service | Still on sale; noted for housekeeping and the desk |
Release a block to put the room back on sale from tonight.
Preventive maintenance
Maintenance › Preventive: a schedule per job (What, room or area, Trade, Owner, Repeats, Next due, a Checklist one step per line). Each schedule raises a work order on each due date: automatically early every morning, or at once with Raise due orders. An order is never raised twice for the same due date.
Common questions
A scheduled work order did not appear.
Check that the schedule is Active and look at its Next due date: an order is raised when its due date comes. Then press Raise due orders. If orders keep missing their dates, tell your Penahak contact.
I raised a work order for a broken lock but the room is still on sale.
A work order does not take the room off sale by itself. Block the room if guests should not have it.
The block says "This block oversells the room type".
Blocking the room would leave fewer rooms than bookings. Move bookings first, or choose Block anyway, which needs a manager's approval for overbooking.
