- The flash
Reports › Daily flash: occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and revenue with month and year to date (Reports, ADR and RevPAR).
- Last night
The night-audit pack: waivers and their reasons, no-shows, high balances (Run the night audit and close the day).
- Approvals at the desk
Type your PIN for refunds, waivers, rate changes, not-ready rooms and the rest when the team asks (Manager approvals and PINs). Never share the PIN.
- Credit
Folios › Credit watch for stays over or near their limit, and City ledger for companies (Stay credit limits and no-post, Company billing and the city ledger).
- Variances and the log
The cashier shift report's variances; the Approval log for what was approved, by whom and why.
- The rules
Hospitality configuration › Approvals: who acts alone, within which limits, and who approves (Approval rules and the small-team defaults).
- Reopen a day
Only when a correction must be dated on a closed day (Reopen a closed business date).
Before you start
- Set your own approval PIN once on Hospitality configuration › Approvals, and never share it (Manager approvals and PINs).
- Read the Daily flash and last night's Night-audit pack: waivers and their reasons, no-shows and high balances (Reports, ADR and RevPAR, Run the night audit and close the day).
- Look at Payments › Refunds and adjustments for refunds waiting for your approval (Refunds and payment adjustments).
End of the day
- The Approval log shows what was approved today, by whom and why (Manager approvals and PINs).
- The cashier shift reports show no unexplained variance (Open and close a cashier shift).
- Folios › Credit watch and City ledger have been looked at (Stay credit limits and no-post, Company billing and the city ledger).
- No day was reopened unless a correction had to carry its date (Reopen a closed business date).
- The rules on Hospitality configuration › Approvals still match how much you want the team to do alone (Approval rules and the small-team defaults).
