Early check-in
At check-in, Check in › Early check-in has a switch labelled Before the hotel's check-in time. Switch it on and the Early check-in fee is filled from the hotel's price for early check-in (the early check-in service in the service catalog); you can type another amount. The fee is posted to the guest folio at check-in, with its service charge and VAT.
Waive the fee, or a fee below the standard one, needs approval above the desk's limit (in a new hotel the front desk may waive up to 500 alone).
Late check-out
The hotel's policy sets the Late checkout grace minutes and the Late checkout fee (Hospitality configuration › Property & policies). A guest who checks out after the check-out time plus the grace is charged the fee at check-out: the Check out drawer shows it before you confirm, and Waive the late checkout fee with a reason waives it (same approval as above).
Same-day stays
A guest who arrives and leaves on the same business date is charged the night (the night audit would never see the stay). The check-out drawer offers Waive this night (day use or complimentary stay) with a reason; above the desk's limit a manager approves.
Common questions
The fee will not post: "The fee cannot be posted: map its service to an ERP product, or waive the fee."
The early check-in or late check-out service has no product yet. The administrator maps it in Ledger & product mappings › Billable services; or the desk waives the fee for now (Services, products and sales ledgers).
Which clock decides that a guest is late?
The hotel's check-out time and its grace minutes, set under Hospitality configuration › Property & policies, compared with the time in Nepal when the check-out is confirmed.
Can the desk charge a different early check-in fee from the standard one?
Yes, type another amount in Early check-in fee. Charging less than the standard fee counts as a waiver of the difference, so the desk's limit and a manager's approval apply to that difference.
