Receivables: ageing and expected cash

Open Customers > Receivables (it has no menu item of its own). The page says "Ageing, advances, cheques in hand and expected collections, read from the customer ledgers."

Ageing tab

• Group by: Customer, Agent or Area (the agent and area come from the customer in Accounting). Click a group to see its customers ("Customers of agent ..."; Back to agents).
• Show: All balances, Owe money or In advance.
• Search: customer, agent or area.
• Columns: the group, the number of customers (for agents and areas), Not due, 1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 90+, Advance, Ledger balance and PDC in hand. A customer's row opens their open bills (Bill, Date, Due, Days past due, Bill amount, Outstanding).
• Export writes every row, not just the page you see.

The ageing date cannot be in the future ("The ageing date cannot be in the future.").

The line that proves the ageing

Above the table the page checks the ageing against the customer ledgers:

• "The ageing ties to the customer ledgers." (green), or
• "The ageing differs from the ledgers by X." (a warning),

with the sum: "Aged receivable A less advances B = C; customer ledger balance from the postings D". While a search or a group is open, the line covers only the matching customers.

Expected cash tab

Expected collections lists periods (Period, Dates, Bills, Falling due, Promised). The cheque list shows Customer, Cheque, Cheque date (marked Renewed when the date was renewed), Drawn on, Status, Voucher and Amount. For a cheque in hand, Amount is what is still to come in; a part-paid cheque shows its own amount below it ("of ...").

Which customers are included

Every customer with a balance or a cheque, active or switched off (Where the money figures come from).
