No check, no save
A credit sale is saved only after its credit has been checked. If the check itself cannot run, the document is refused and you see:
The customer's credit could not be checked just now, so the document was not saved. Please try again in a moment.
Nothing is saved: no invoice, no posting, no release used. Nothing tries again by itself: save again after a few seconds.
Two sales of one customer at the same moment
When a customer's sale could be stopped by the credit limit (the Amount limit actions are Block, enforcement is on, and it is not a cash ledger), or a credit release is being used, sales of that customer are checked and saved one at a time. A second sale of the same customer waits until the first has been saved, then is checked against the new balance. So two sales cannot both pass on the same headroom, and one release cannot be used twice.
If the other sale does not finish within 30 seconds, the waiting one is refused:
Another sale for this customer is being saved right now, so this one was not saved. Please try again in a moment.
Sales of other customers never wait. Sales that the limit cannot stop (Warning or Ignore, a cash ledger, a sale paid in full) do not wait at all.
| When ... | The sale | You see |
|---|---|---|
| The check cannot run | Not saved | "The customer's credit could not be checked just now ..." |
| Another sale of the same customer takes more than 30 seconds | Not saved | "Another sale for this customer is being saved right now ..." |
| Another sale of the same customer is saving, but finishes in time | Saved after it, checked against the new balance | Nothing unusual (a short wait); perhaps a block, if the first sale used up the headroom |
At the sales screen
- If the check that runs before Save cannot answer, it does not stop you: the screen applies its own credit rule under Credit check unavailable, and the sale is checked again as it is saved (Save a credit sale: what you see). If that check cannot run either, you get the message above.
- The screen keeps your document, so you can simply save again.
If it keeps happening
- Save again after a few seconds. A single refusal is normal when many sales are being saved.
- If it repeats for one customer, another save of that customer may be stuck: ask who else is saving for that customer (another tab, an import).
- If it repeats for every customer, tell your Penahak contact the time, the user, the customer and the document (Problems by symptom).
Common questions
Do I lose what I typed when the sale is refused?
No. The screen keeps your document, so you can simply save again.
Do the sales of other customers wait too?
No. Sales of other customers never wait, and sales that the limit cannot stop (a Warning or Ignore action, a cash ledger, a sale paid in full) do not wait at all.
