For Collector Credit controller Manager or owner Accountant

The period

Choose This month, Last month, Last 3 months, Fiscal year or Custom. Months follow your company's calendar (BS months for a company on the Nepali calendar). A custom period must start today or earlier and cover at most two years. Fiscal year needs an Accounting fiscal year that covers today ("No fiscal year is set up for today's date.").

The figures

FigureHow it is worked out
Collection effectiveness (CEI)(opening receivables + credit sales - closing receivables) x 100 / (opening receivables + credit sales - closing not due): how much of what could be collected was collected
Days sales outstandingClosing receivables x 90 / sales of the last 90 days. Best possible = closing not due x 90 / the same sales
Average days delinquentDays sales outstanding less the best possible: how many days late customers pay on average
Past dueClosing overdue / closing receivables
Collected this periodReceipts from customers in the period, posted only, in local currency (amount plus TDS)
Promises kept (90 days)Kept / (kept + partial + broken), for promises dated in the last 90 days
Open account casesCollection cases open now
Credit sales this period (in the header)What each sales invoice of the period left owing: its amount less what was paid with it at the counter, for customers that are not cash ledgers, invoices not cancelled, in local currency. A cash mark on the invoice plays no part (What counts as a cash sale)
  • Receivables (opening and closing) add up only the customers who owe money; advances are not netted off, so the opening and closing figures compare like with like.
  • The closing date is the end of the period, or today if the period is still running.

Common questions

Why is the period I chose refused?

The opening and closing receivables add up only the customers who owe money, and advances are not netted off, so that the two figures compare like with like.

What counts as collected?

Receipts from customers posted in the period, in local currency, amount plus TDS. A receipt waiting for approval is not counted.
