The nightly run and the run-now buttons

One collections run happens every night for every company with CRM on. The same run, and the dispute, renewal, recovery and ticket runs, can also be started by hand.

The nightly run

Every night CRM runs once for your company (when CRM is on). In order, it:

  1. Judges promises to pay against the receipts posted since each promise was recorded (Promises to pay).
  2. Moves overdue customers through the dunning ladder: opens, moves and closes collection cases and their follow-ups, as Open collection work for overdue customers and Close collection work once paid allow (The dunning ladder and collection cases).
  3. Expires credit releases that were approved but not used by their end date (Credit releases: ask, decide, use).

It works on the counted customers (Where the money figures come from): a switched-off customer who still owes money is chased like an active one, and their case closes only when nothing is overdue.

The result says what each run did: cases opened, moved up and closed, follow-ups created, promises judged, releases expired.

One collections run at a time

Only one collections run works at a time. If the nightly run, another Run now, or a collector opening a case is still working, the second run waits up to a minute and then stops with "The collections run is still working (the nightly run or another "Run now"). Try again in a few minutes." Nothing was changed by the run that stopped.

Did the run happen?

Signs that the nightly run did not happen, or that the collections automation settings are off:

  • promises past their date still show Open;
  • no new collection cases for customers who have just become overdue.

Check the two settings under Collections automation in CRM settings first (CRM settings and what each one does). If they are on and nothing happened overnight, tell your Penahak contact the date.

Common questions

Who can press Run automation now?

Users who can manage CRM settings. Run collections now on Collections needs the same permission.

The run says "The collections run is still working".

Only one collections run works at a time. Wait a few minutes and run it again: nothing was changed by the run that stopped.

Does the nightly run also judge disputes and service tickets?

No. It judges promises, moves collection cases and expires unused releases. Disputes, renewals, recoveries and the ticket scan move only when someone presses a button.
