Two screens give a role, or a branch, to many users in one go: choose the role or the branch, tick the users, and save. They add or remove extra roles and extra branches; a user's main role and default branch are changed on the user form.
On the user form you give one person roles and branches (Add or change a user). When you want to give one role to many people, or put many people in one branch, use a mapping screen instead.

Needs
The role (or the branch) is active. An inactive one refuses the save.
Common questions
I saved the mapping, but the person sees nothing new.
Mapping does not warn anyone, and the menu and the branch list are read when a person signs in. Ask the person to sign out and in (A menu item, a tab or a screen is missing).
The save is refused and says the role or branch is switched off.
A role or a branch that is inactive cannot be mapped. Activate it first, then save the mapping again (Roles, Branches).
Does mapping change a person's main role or default branch?
No. These screens add or remove extra roles and extra branches only. Change the main role and the default branch on the user form (Add or change a user).
