Custom notifications: tell chosen people when a condition is met
A custom notification is a rule you set: when a kind of event happens and your conditions are true, send a message you wrote to the roles or users you choose. Some rules are checked once a day.
The standard messages (Message templates: e-mail, in-app and SMS wording) go to the people the event concerns. A custom notification lets you add your own rule on top: for example, "tell the accountant when a customer's outstanding goes above a limit" or "tell the manager about cheques that fall due". You choose the kind of event, the conditions, the people and the wording.
