What the licence is
The licence is what the company bought, kept by Penahak. You cannot change it. You can read it on Company setting > Subscription (Company details, logo and subscription).
What it decides
| The licence says | So the company gets |
|---|---|
| The products | The menus and permissions of those parts of Penahak. A part that is not included has no menu and no permission to tick |
| Maximum users | How many users can be active at once (Users: the list, locking and deactivating) |
| Branch applicable and No of branch | Whether the company has branches at all, and how many (Branches) |
| License start date and License expiry date | The last day the company opens |
| Extras Penahak switches on for the company | For example e-mail and notifications, SMS, larger file uploads, payroll or attendance tabs |
A role can hold only what the licence includes: the permission tree on Role & Scopes lists nothing else (Choose what a role may open and do).
When the licence ends
- Within 15 days of the last day, a note on every page shows License expiry date and asks you to renew with the software provider.
- On the last day the company still opens. From the next day the sign-in address no longer opens: a page says the company code is not valid or the licence may have expired.
- When Penahak renews the licence, the company opens again.
When Penahak changes the licence
After a renewal or a change of products Penahak applies the change to the company. The company's Administrator role gets every new menu and permission at once. Other roles keep what they had: open Role & Scopes and tick the new menus for the roles that should have them (Choose what a role may open and do). If a part is taken away, its menus and permissions disappear from every role. People see the change the next time they sign in.
When something you expect is missing
Work through A menu item, a tab or a screen is missing.
Common questions
We need more users, or another branch, than the licence allows.
Maximum users and No of branch are limits Penahak sets. Deactivate people who have left; for branches, an inactive branch still counts towards the limit. Otherwise ask Penahak for a larger licence (Users: the list, locking and deactivating, Branches).
