The sign-in page
Every company has its own sign-in address: your company code is the first part of the address after the site name. The page shows your company's logo (or its name), Sign in, and two boxes, User name and Password, with the button Log in and the link Forgot your password? Reset password.
- Both boxes are required and hold up to 100 characters.
- The password is case-sensitive.
- A user who has just been added chooses a new password first (below).
If the company code is wrong
An address with no company code, or with a code that does not exist, shows a page asking you to enter the company code. A page saying the code is not valid, or that the licence may have expired, means the code is wrong or the company's licence has ended: see How the licence decides what a company has and A user cannot sign in.
When the password is wrong
The page counts the wrong tries. It first says "Login attempts n out of m is failed." After a few it says "n unsuccessful attempts. Next r unsuccessful attempts locks your account." At the limit the user is locked and an administrator must unlock the user (Users: the list, locking and deactivating).
The first time
- Sign in with the user name and the first password
- Choose a new password
Sign out
Open the profile menu (your name) and choose Sign out. A person who was changed by an administrator (a role, a branch or the user's own form) is warned and signed out a few seconds later; they sign in again to see the change (Who sees what: licence, role, permission, branch).
Common questions
Where do I type my company code?
It is not one of the boxes of the sign-in page: it is in the address. Use the full sign-in address your company was given. An address with no company code shows a page asking for it. A code that is not accepted shows a page saying it is not valid or that the licence may have expired: check the address, then ask Penahak about the licence (How the licence decides what a company has).
How do I know I am on my own company's page?
The page shows your company's logo, or its name, above Sign in.
