Penahak now runs hotels, restaurants and retail on one ledger.
Penahak

How the menu and the secondary menu page work

The side menu lists the parts of Penahak a person's roles give them. Opening one shows its page of sub-menus and Add buttons; an Add button needs the role's permission and, for numbered documents, a numbering series for the branch.

For Owner Administrator Support

The side menu and the page behind it

The side menu lists the main parts of Penahak (for example sales, purchase, accounts, administration). Which parts appear depends only on the person's roles (Who sees what: licence, role, permission, branch).

Choosing a part opens its page of sub-menus. The page has a title (the menu name) and two areas:

  • Quick action buttons: for example one Add button for each kind of document the part can create. A button appears only when the role has that action's menu. When the document needs a numbering series, the button also needs an active series for your branch that covers today. A branch with two series for one kind of document gets one button that opens a list to choose from (Create and manage numbering series).
  • Cards of sub-menus, grouped under their headings. Each link opens one screen.

If the page says it does not exist

Opening a part that is not in the person's menu shows OOPS! The page you requested does not exist. with the button Go to dashboard. It is the same page as a mistyped address. If the person should have the part, check their role (A menu item, a tab or a screen is missing).

Common questions

The same person has an Add button in one branch and not in another.

Which parts of Penahak appear depends only on the person's roles. An Add button for a numbered document also needs an active numbering series for the branch the person is working in that covers today. A new branch has no series until the administrator adds one (Create and manage numbering series, Work in another branch).

The part is in the side menu, but a card or an Add button inside it is missing.

Each card and each Add button comes from a menu of the role. Ask the administrator to tick the missing one for the role on Role & Scopes, then sign out and in (Choose what a role may open and do, A menu item, a tab or a screen is missing).

Does switching branch change the parts in the side menu?

No. The side menu follows the roles. Switching branch changes which numbering series the Add buttons need and where new documents are made.
